Changing the size doesn't help with the problem that caused us to try to
find a better way to place the button: that the close button makes tabs
take up more space, hence forcing you to either not see the full contact
names, or forcing you to unwillingly make the window bigger.
Or in short, if you have a problem with a window having to be too big,
the solution is not to make it bigger.
That being said, it does make sense to make the windows a bit bigger by
default, since they are a bit on the small side right now at least in my
opinion. Ideally, the default size should adapt to the font size instead
of using a fixed pixel size.
On a slightly related note,
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141855 would be a good way to
help out fixing part of the bigger picture. With that implemented, you
wouldn't have to constantly resize your windows.
