Looking pretty good, although I've got a couple of issues that are hampering my acceptance of this one :)

1)	No keyboard shortcut to clear conversations
I deal with conversations where I'll receive a bunch of messages, dismiss them, and check again later. The important thing is that I'm able to tell which ones I've read already, and that it starts scrolled to the beginning of the new messages (frequently several pages are shown between checks). I've always used the clear-conversation command as a quick way to do this, clearing all the text I've read already so that anything else that comes up I can immediately identify as new. It would be nice to have this key-binding back.
However, an alternate solution might be to change the color of conversations that have already been open, to a light-gray for example (ideally such a dimmed color would be determined from the gtk colors), and immediately scroll to show mostly the new conversations in the window.
		Any thoughts on this idea?
2)	The click-status-icon to close tab feature seems highly counter-intuitive. There's no visual indication that clicking there will close the tab until the cursor is right over it, at which point the cursor largely obscures the icon. It's easy to mouse-over the status icon, click, and never see anything to suggest that you'll be closing a tab.
The old method of a close button always being visible on the right of the tab was much more self-explanatory.
