Nice! I'm not sure if it's OK to only add an option if you enable
another option (gss/dbus here). We should have something like:

--with-idle-checking=gss/xss/auto

And then if you enable gss or xss explicitly, it's an error if it's not
installed. (Auto should try both and use the first one found, probably
preferring gss.)
